In thinking about IT business continuity, even if you have great password management, so many systems have 2FA, which in many cases is tied to someone's mobile phone. If that person leaves the org - it may be difficult to login to some website - because the 2FA is going to a previous person's privately owned mobile phone.
Our Teams Phones provider, CallTower, offers SMS to your Teams phone number. Last I remember, it was $10 per month, which I thought excessive. However, I wonder if it's something that IT should be thinking about for key staff who manage important systems for their orgs. That way, someone can impersonate the staff person who is no longer with the org and gain access.
Think - DNS access and other important systems.
How are others managing this? Anyone get SMS to their voip phone?
