As I continue to examine areas like Conditional Access and the management of non-corporate-owned/personal devices, I was wondering if anyone has restricted email clients to Outlook/Outlook Web
only (vs allowing iOS mail or Android mail or various other 3rd party email clients).
What is the justification for this? Is Outlook more secure? Is iOS mail less secure?
What do end-users lose when a policy like this is implemented? I suspect they lose a sense of choice. They might also lose some functionality that comes from a built in experience vs 3rd party experience - perhaps with a paired watch device.
Thanks in advance for your suggestions.
