Description:

Technology Section Council guides and recommends content for technology section members through contributions to an e-newsletter, maintaining/monitoring an active tech discussion group, advising staff on programs such as the annual ASAE Technology Conference and CIO Summit. Also, the Technology Council members assist in creating a sense of community among association information technology professionals. This group has one required face to face meeting which is the kickoff meeting on Thursday, December 15 at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, National Harbor, MD, held in the same location as the Technology Conference, on December 13-14, 2016.  

**The December 15 council kickoff meeting is mandatory for volunteers that are new to the council. 

 Projects for 2016-2017 include:

  • Creating a framework for association technology education
  • Creating a framework for technology acquisition and implementation
  • Promoting the value of sound business solutions
  • Monthly council teleconferences

Please expect to commit approximately 3-5 hours per month on this council.
