ASAE’s Collaborate is undergoing a review of its current Rules and Etiquette. This opportunity is seeking well established Collaborate users to aid us in the process. We are currently calling this a review because members should go into the process with the plan to either review and keep the rules as is or recommend edits, changes, and/or additions. All changes recommended during the review will also be reviewed by ASAE staff stakeholders for final review. Volunteers for this opportunity should be available to do the work below, fill the eligibility requirements, and come willing to work collaboratively with other members and ASAE staff.
- Work of this group:
ASAE staff will provide selected volunteers with information, links, and data to review prior to beginning our work.
2. Participate in an online survey. This will help shape our discussion on group calls.
3. Actively participate in 1 online meeting (Skype for Business) on Monday, June, 24 at 2:00-4:00 pm ET. 1-2 additional calls may be added depending on the feedback provided by the group. ASAE staff will work with volunteers to schedule subsequent calls.
4. After the calls are completed, ASAE will have the group review the changes made and make any final changes*.
*Volunteers should understand that they will be making the recommendations for changes first. After the work of the group, ASAE will have staff stakeholders review and approve this final process. ASAE staff stakeholders will be invited to participate in this process in support of the work of the members of this group.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Members who have been active in Collaborate for at least 2-3 years. We are looking for a variety of tenures starting at 2-3 years and going all the way to the start of Collaborate.
- Must be a member of at least 2 groups and are currently receiving emails from those groups. Members who have opted out of receiving emails from their groups or who are not members of a community will not be accepted.
- Members who have posted in groups as either discussion starters and/or replies to discussions. We are looking for very active members in Collaborate to participate in this opportunity. There will be space for 1-2 members that have posted only a few times but qualify in every other listed eligibility requirement.
- Members who are excited to work as a group with ASAE to review and edit the Rules and Etiquette for the betterment of the greater Collaborate community.
Important Dates:
June 10, 2019: Selected volunteers will receive the information, links, and data to review as well as a link to the online survey. Volunteers will also receive a calendar invite for the Monday, June 24 meeting with Skype for Business link.
COB Monday, June 17: Online survey must be completed no later than today
Wednesday, June 19: Agenda, survey results, and any additional information will be provided for volunteers to prepare for our first conference call
Monday, June 24 - 2-hour online meeting
Friday, June 28- Tuesday, July 2- Final review of changes
July 2019- Reviewed and edited Rules and Etiquette posted in Collaborate
