*Please read the entire below description before applying*

The ASAE PPAM Advisory Group is a content strategy and design review team. The advisory group will individually review and process published chapters from PPAM, 3rd edition, with an overlay of desired content for the revised chapter.  Each member of the team will provide input on what content is missing from the current chapter that needs to be included in the 4th edition revision.  Input will be provided through a survey monkey vehicle.   Reviewers may also recommend authors for consideration who have mastered and hold broad, enterprise-wide perspectives of the function of focus.

Council charge
The advisory group advises the Executive Managing Editor and contributing authors of the PPAM 4th edition by providing a review of content through their lens of experience and perspective to inform the chapter’s author on direction and content.  The advisory group identifies critical content needs, issues, trends, and other content that will help authors craft their chapter contributions.

Advisory Group Vision
The PPAM 4th edition will represent an inclusive view of association management leadership in all areas of the association management functions, in alignment with ASAE’s CAE content outline.

Advisory Group Objectives
The ASAE PPAM4 Advisory Group individually advises PPAM editors in achieving these strategic objectives:

  • Development of content that aligns with the CAE Content Outline of 2020.
  • Assuring inclusive perspectives on mastery of an association management function.
  • Effectively preparing CAE candidates for certification success.
  • Propelling current CAEs to incorporate new thinking into established patterns of management.

Advisory Group Member Responsibilities

  • Chapters available for review are generally 10-12 pages in length. Reviews are intended to elicit general impressions for content revision and inclusion.
  • Volunteers may review multiple chapters if desired. See list below of topics available for review.
