Description:

National Capital Area Executive Leadership Development Task Force

Executive leadership development programs can help those who have been identified as possessing leadership ability with the skills and confidence it takes to lead by strengthening their analytical tools, management acumen, and interpersonal skills. The National Capital Area Executive Leadership Development Task Force must consider how best to develop effective executive leaders within the region, who can build and motivate effective teams, resolve strategic problems, and who possess the vision to chart a course of action for an organization.

The National Capital Area Executive Leadership Development Task Force will:

  1. Identify existing programs and activities that identify, train, and motivate executive leaders within the region and their alignment with ASAE;
  2. Suggest a framework for increasing the number and variety of leadership opportunities for members within the region;
  3. Recommend avenues to promote the value of leadership in association management within the national capital area;
  4. Align executive leadership content with appropriate delivery channels to maximize the impact of the content based on the audience and the setting;
  5. Identify ways to recognize exceptional leadership within the region and make recommendations for ASAE’s consideration.
