This independent certifying agency of ASAE is responsible for setting policy and standards related to the Certified Association Executive (CAE) Program. CAE Commission members must have earned and maintained the CAE designation and currently be an employee of a qualifying organization or meet in lieu of employment criteria. The Commission requires four in-person meetings.
Kick-Off Meeting Info (date, time & location):
This group requires four in-person meetings per year. The kickoff meeting is on August 8, 2019, at ASAE's Annual Meeting, in Columbus, Ohio from 1:00-4:00 p.m. An orientation call for new members of the CAE Commission will be held July 9 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. ET.

Estimated Monthly Time Commitment:
* In addition to the in-person meetings, the Commission will hold at least two conference calls. There may be additional calls for task force work.
* New volunteers are required to attend the volunteer group’s kickoff meeting in order to serve. There is no virtual option for this meeting.
* Council members (or their organizations) pay their own travel expenses to attend meetings. ASAE does not reimburse Board, Committee, or Council members for travel.
* Members can only serve 1 (one) volunteer group (council or committee) at a time.
