Description:

Association CareerHQ (ACHQ) is developing a Workforce Advisory Taskforce to support efforts to enhance and innovate workforce recruitment, retention, and training within the association management industry.

Purpose:  Working with the Senior Director of Career Center and Workforce Solutions, the Workforce Advisory Taskforce will utilize their collective expertise in the association management industry to provide a holistic perspective that aid in the development and implementation of innovative, new solutions, and serve as a central convening ground for this critical work.

The group will:

1.      Utilize ASAE Research Foundation research and organic surveys (as needed) to gather insights and study association workforce and labor market information issues.

2.      Seek and share innovative approaches, new technologies, and data to identify industry employment, skills training, and workforce development needs.

3.      Partner with their staff liaison and other team members (as appropriate) to offer diverse perspectives and insights regarding how ACHQ can best support workforce development, planning, and program development.

Volunteer Selection Process:

·       Call for Volunteers via Collaborate (questions will be asked about why participants want to volunteer for this group and whether they have any experience in workforce development, career services, or other similar program areas)

·       Staff team reviews submissions, ASAE database, LinkedIn and selects well qualified volunteers

Time Commitment: Group members’ service term will last no more than 12 consecutive months. 

Meeting Format:

·       Monthly group calls via Teams or Zoom

·       One in-person meeting at ASAE Annual (for those who attend – but it is not mandatory)
