Description:

National Capital Area Career & Talent Management Task Force

Career & Talent Management is a systemic approach to assessment, planning, and learning. It is an ongoing process and a shared responsibility of an association’s staff-employees, managers, and organizational leaders. The National Capital Area Career & Talent Management Task Force will support ASAE’s broader Career & Talent Management Strategy, aiding the development of strategies, planning tools, resources, and programs for ASAE and its membership, as well as stimulate communication about work and development planning – helping professionals of associations develop in their current roles and prepare for future opportunities.

The National Capital Area Career & Talent Management Task Force will:

  1. Identify how associations assess organizational challenges and opportunities, analyze the workforce required to meet these challenges and opportunities, and assess the critical skills and knowledge required to achieve these priorities and goals;
  2. Suggest a means to develop a strong talent pipeline for associations within the national capital area to meet future needs;
  3. Assess employee retention and development challenges and opportunities specific to the area;
  4. Recommend learning and development strategies to meet the needs of professionals within the region; and
