Active membership in the ASAE Communication Professionals Advisory Council (“the Council”) is an opportunity to support content, learning, and engagement priorities of communications professionals and others in the association industry who benefit from best practices and diverse perspectives relevant to communications practitioners. Members serve a one-year term, renewable for up to three years. Council members work together virtually—and, where possible, in person—to identify and address key communication issues by seeking input from the broader communication professionals and other sources, fostering important discussions in the communication community, and contributing to the development of content and learning resources. Areas include communications and public relations strategy, content strategy and development, print and digital publications, social media and digital outreach management, media relations, crisis communications and other areas in the communications field.
