The Executive Management Advisory Council is composed of association thought leaders who guide and recommend content for ASAE programs, events, publications, and other resources related to the needs and interests of CEOs and senior staff executives.
Focus for 2024 -2025
Works closely with ASAE staff and members to provide insight into the unique challenges that CEOs and C-level staff face in their roles.
The Executive Management Advisory Council is focused on creating a sense of community and engagement in ASAE among CEOs and other C-level staff executives by utilizing the Collaborate platform.
Assist in the development of content (education sessions and articles) and acts as moderators, and speakers for ASAE events.
Supports the elimination of barriers to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility in all we do.
Meetings
· Virtual orientation/kickoff meeting in July 2024. Date and time will be determined. (Required for new members).
· There will be an opportunity to meet in-person on Saturday, August 10, 2043, as part of the ASAE Annual Meeting
· The council will meet in the winter of 2025. A poll will be used to choose the date.
· Conference calls will be held at least quarterly.
Eligibility Requirements
3+ years of experience as a CEO or in a C-Suite level role
Familiarity with ASAE Foundation’s research, Associations Now, and ASAE meetings
Additional Information:
New volunteers are required to attend the volunteer group’s orientation in order to serve.
Council members (or their organizations) pay their own travel expenses to attend meetings. ASAE does not reimburse Committee or Council members for travel.
Members can only serve on one (1) volunteer group (council or committee) at a time.
Selection Process
EMAC is looking for five (5) new members for the 2024-2025 term which means not all applicants will be accepted for this committee. The selection committee is comprised of the incoming volunteer chair, the incoming volunteer vice chair, the outgoing volunteer chair, and the ASAE staff liaison. The ASAE staff liaison plays a supporting role in this process. Final approval of volunteers is given by the ASAE Board chair-elect.

Diversity of Voice- With support of ASAE staff, the selection committee utilizes the ASAE Board Diversity Policy and Volunteer Model to ensure the group is comprised of a variety of voices from the membership. To support this effort, all ASAE members can log into their main ASAE account and update their information in their ASAE Profile to ensure it is complete and up to date.
