Randi Sumner has over twenty years of experience shepherding associations towards success. She has worked with a wide range of non-profit organizations, ranging from those with almost no budget and staff to those with an over 300 million budget and 1000+ employees.
Sumner brings to her leadership perspective, the knowledge and wisdom acquired as the Chief Staff Executive of the New Jersey Society of Association Executives (NJSAE), an organization that serviced Association Professionals in New Jersey before merging to become the Mid-Atlantic SAE six years after her tenure. Following NJSAE, she has served as an affiliated resource and strategy consultant with Tecker Associates (http://www.tecker.com/) and (http://e-zgroup.com/) as well as a teacher trainer, business communications instructor and presentation coach for Kaplan (http://www.kaplan.com/).
Currently, she holds the position of Senior Director, Strategy & Entrepreneurship IEEE, a leading global society for technology professionals. In her role at the IEEE, she oversees the IEEE Entrepreneurship Initiative as well as strategic and innovation projects for the IEEE Technical Activities Board (TAB). Randi also directly supervises the staff of both the IEEE Robotics & Automation Society Societies and the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society.
Sumner earned her Certified Association Executive (CAE) from ASAE in 1998 and is a cum laude graduate of Brandeis University.
