Sexual harassment is making headlines. While sexual harassment typically involve employees, actions by volunteers, including officers, directors, and committee members, also may cause problems. Association meetings, conferences and trade shows may create situations for unwelcome behavior. Training volunteers about association policies to prevent sexual harassment is critical.
In this session, Tiffany M. Releford and Jennifer S. Jackman, Partners at Whiteford, Taylor & Preston, LLP, will offer practical advice and provide an overview on laws, discuss sexual harassment and your volunteers, the impact of claims on your association, and your duty to prevent these claims.
