Making Smarter Sponsorship and Exhibitor Decisions
On Tuesday at 12:30 pm EDT, I’m talking with someone who is using technology to make finding the perfect sponsors and exhibitors not just more strategic, but interesting, as well. My guests will share their experiences finding the best match for sponsorships.

Val Tsanev is the Founder/CEO of ConferencePulse– a market network that helps conference and trade show organizers find and secure sponsors, exhibitors, speakers venues. Val was born in Bulgaria and lived in Greece before moving to the United States. He obtained a bachelor's degree in computer science from St. John's University and earned his MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University. Val spent 10 years on Wall Street in investment banking, strategy and consulting with Credit Suisse. He did more than $1.2 billion of M&A, IPOs, Follow-Ons and new business deals. In addition, Val managed the events portfolio at Credit Suisse (and wished ConferencePulse was available back then). Val also founded City Raven - an exclusive online real estate marketplace.
Michael a strategic advisor and market consultant in the meetings and events industry. He has worn many hats throughout his career including that of event organizer, international association management, and has worked with some of the leading event tech companies in the industry. Michael is a super connector and is driven by bringing great organizations, projects technologies together to create better experiences. Value creation and driving ROI underpins his life as an #EventProf. When not working (or attending events), Michael enjoys exploring new hiking trails with his dog Max.
How people can participate and watch/listen later:
- Association Chat provides participants with the ability to register and ask questions live on the day of the event, but it will also be streaming on Facebook Live (and elsewhere) where people can watch and comment.
- There is a dedicated core group of people who register on the actual Crowdcast platform for each episode who want to participate live by chatting and asking questions of the guests. The number of Crowdcast registrants can fall in the range of 20-200+, it depends on the guests, topics, and pre-show marketing, ...but mostly it’s a small Crowdcast audience of 15-20 people with usually over 100 watching live on Facebook (Periscope and YouTube Live also grabs a few more viewers).
- Episodes are later uploaded to the Association Chat Podcast on iTunes, iHeartRadio, Google Play, Stitcher, Soundcloud, and edited video added to YouTube. The audio podcast episodes will usually be available the Monday after the live interview takes place.
- The replay will be available at the same URL as the chat within minutes of the chat's end and the link will continue to take people to the replay once it's over.
