Do associations really need a strategic plan? Would it restrain or nurture entrepreneurship and innovation? Or is the value in the planning process itself? Let’s get together and talk all about strategic planning. Jay Younger will share what a good strategic planning process could look like. He’ll lead a discussion on how to bridge the gap between design and delivery of the strategic plan, especially when the board drives the design and staff is tasked with implementing. Lane Velayo will discuss the different levels of involvement and explain why it’s important to review your strategic plan every year. Jay and Lane will talk about how to measure and report progress. It will be a robust dialogue where we all get to share our strategic planning successes and challenges and bring our questions to the experts. Join us, in person or online. Sign up here (the form has a space where you can send us your questions and what you want to talk about on Nov 20).
