About the Session

Learn how to identify your virtual communications style and explore how that style can be leveraged effectively — or sometimes misunderstood. Participants will walk away with tips on how to adapt your preferred communications style to improve relationships, increase productivity, and be successful in 2020 and beyond.
About the Speaker
Carol Vernon is President of Communication Matters, an executive coaching and training firm that helps association leaders and teams elevate their leadership, executive presence and communication skills to grow their impact and influence. She started Communication Matters after observing that doing your job well just isn’t enough. Without honed leadership skills, a strong presence, and the ability to communicate effectively, leaders and their teams can’t achieve their full potential. Before forming her firm in 2006, Carol worked as a senior leader with trade associations and also on Capitol Hill. Carol is trained and certified in leadership assessment tools including MBTI, DISC, numerous 360s, Emotional Intelligence, and communication style preferences.
