AMC Section Council Webinar: Common Legal Pitfalls and How AMCs Can Help Clients Avoid Them

When:  Jun 5, 2019 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM (ET)

Please join the ASAE AMC Section Council on Wednesday, June 5, 2019 from 12:00pm - 1:00pm (EDT) as they host a webinar tilted: Common Legal Pitfalls and How AMCs Can Help Clients Avoid Them

About the Session:

The presenter for this webinar will be Ben Tesdahl. During this presentation he will cover a dozen or more of the most common legal problems, that should’ve been able to be spotted and prevented within numerous nonprofits, that were managed by AMC’s. For example: one of these legal red flags was a case with a nonprofit that had been dissolved by the state for over a decade, without anyone in the association knowing it. He will also walk through how AMCs can look to see if a client has one of these common hidden problems and how to avoid them.

More About the Presenter:
Ben Tesdahl from Powers, Pyles, Sutter & Verville PC represents charitable, educational and religious organizations, veterans’ groups, trade and professional associations, and lobbying and political organizations. From his very first assignment in private practice – representing a nonprofit organization at risk of losing its tax exemption, which would have meant losing its ability to operate – Ben has dedicated his career to supporting nonprofits and the good works that they do.

Coupled with his dedication to client communication and responsiveness, Ben’s in-depth knowledge of nonprofit organizations allows him to answer clients’ questions, provide advice on issues, and offer support on virtually any aspect of their business efficiently and without delay. Serving most clients in the capacity of outside General Counsel, over the years, Ben has advised on the full spectrum of issues that nonprofits face and welcomes the regular, sometimes daily, interaction he has with clients.
