DC SAFE (DC Small Association Forum for Executives) is a complimentary executive peer roundtable for small-staff association executives. This roundtable, created by ASAE's Small Staff Association Committee, is a free-flowing discussion around the most pressing issues facing executives with 9 or fewer employees. This forum allows for collaboration of like-minded executives to address their unique issues in a collegial peer setting. Shira Harrington, Founder & President of Purposeful Hire, Inc., facilitates these gatherings.
SAFE meets nearly every other month at different metro DMV locations for small-staff association execs to discuss a variety of thought leadership topics, generate best practices among participants and create a valuable cadre of professional resources.
SAFE is intended primarily to provide a safe space for small-staff organization executives to discuss their challenges with other small-staff organization executives. The DC SAFE meetings are meant exclusively for association executive members; seats are limited and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.
Teleconference participation is allowed for association executive members outside of the DC metro area but participation via phone is limited to the first 10 registrants. Please note the teleconference number in the event description; it will be emailed to teleconference participants the morning of the meeting as well.
