Our organization uses a third party to manage a job board for members. The board generates a significant amount of income ($15k - $20k) each year. We just completed the tax return with a hefty tax liability for the board income. The board and finance committee are obviously questioning the amount.
Has anyone successfully argued that job boards are mission-related and not subject to UBIT? If you have not paid UBIT for the boars, are you using a third party (ours is handled by the AMS)?
