We are revisiting our performance review process, and I'm interested in how other associations handle theirs. Currently, we conduct quarterly reviews, with the Q4 review including a few questions reflecting on the year. While the process has been helpful, it has become a bit tedious, and the quarterly cadence leaves limited time between review cycles
As we assess potential updates, I'd be grateful for any insight you are comfortable sharing on the following:
- Frequency of your association's performance reviews
- What format do you use? (e.g., a digital form, PDF, HR/performance management platform, or another approach)
- What areas are assessed in the review?
- Do you include an overall performance rating? If so, what factors inform the rating (e.g., goal achievement, professional development, skills, alignment with organizational values)?
- Does it include peer feedback? If so, how is it collected and incorporated into the review?
I appreciate any perspective you're willing to share. Thank you in advance for your insights!
