earth as an eyeCOMING IN MARCH -- JUST IN TIME FOR ETHICS AWARENESS MONTH!

“As the Association Turns”- An association soap opera in five episodes

Who knew one networking event would cause so many problems! Alcoholic beverages, inappropriate touching, accusations of unethical conduct, conflicted staff members, bullied board members -- the drama never stops at SOAP!!

The Societal Organization Advancing Pants (SOAP) is a small trade association that offers individual memberships for the companies that join. The company dues are based on self-reported revenue and include one member/contact. The group membership offers several options for companies that want to add their employees as members.

The association represents makers and sellers of pants of all kinds. Their membership includes individuals who make men’s pants, women’s pants, and pants for pets. Within the membership, there are special interest groups (SIGs) representing all the varieties of pants from blue jeans to dress pants to ski pants and everything in between.

While there are no local chapters, SOAP encourages its members to organize informal networking events in their area. SOAP does not support or help organize these events but they will promote the local events online and in their e-newsletter.

SOAP is a stable association with a good member culture, a hardworking and ethical staff, and a board that collaborates well with the Chief Staff Executive.

The surface may seem calm, but tensions can bubble up when least expected, exposing the gritty underside of how we interact. Poor choices and the repercussions of our actions drag us into the undertow As the Association Turns . . .
