I just received notification that KnowBe4, with whom we actively engage for the usual things they do, is acquiring an anti-spam company (I'm sure they do other things).
This is not a total surprise. KB4 has been introducing products that move away from training and education and move towards active security features. While their integration with Microsoft Defender is tight, I have been frustrated with Defender as an anti-spam service and was planning on making a move this year - most likely to Mimecast.
This acquisition gives me a little pause. I would expect the future integration between these two products to be very good - though I don't know what it is like right now. However, I've never heard of Egress Anti-Spam. That doesn't mean they're bad. It just means I don't know who they are. Anyone here heard of them?
Also - KB4 is an awesome education program - and their knowledge of Microsoft Exchange is excellent - as anyone who has called them for support can attest. But they definitely rolled out their Phisher security product with some bugs too.
My questions: Anyone have any knowledge of Egress? And are the Mimecast customers out here happy and staying put?
