My organization is its second year of offering certification credentials. We've continuing to incorporate feedback and input from professionals in our industry including about program eligibility requirements and what counts as continuing education opportunities. This information is helpful, especially as a relatively new organization, in examining some of the assumptions included in program development. As I continue to collect and share this information with my Board and SME committees, I imagine questions will arise about potential modifications to program eligibility requirements within the scope of our practice profile (e.g. four years of experience as opposed to five) and considering additional forms of CE credit (e.g., including speaking engagements, volunteer service). Has anyone experienced and addressed either/or both of these issues and would be willing to share a few minutes of their time with me to learn more?
