Description:

Description: The Marketing Professional Advisory Council is a group of thought leaders in association marketing who are asked to provide insight, guidance and support to develop content that ensures ASAE disseminates products and services that exceed the expectations of association marketing professionals seeking to move their work, their organizations and the association community forward. Committee members are asked to participate in strategic conversations on marketing as a function area within associations and should be knowledgeable of the space and trends in order help create content and learning opportunities for marketing professionals in ASAE’s membership. Council members must be able to advise ASAE on the marketing needs and challenges of marketing professionals in the association industry. Each council member is expected to participate on a subcommittee or task force.

Projects for 2022 - 2023 include: Assist ASAE staff in the selection of topics and learning labs for the annual Marketing, Membership, and Communications Conference as Peer Reviewers or serving on the program committee. Engage ASAE members in the Marketing Community in peer-to-peer learning, knowledge exchange, community building and networking opportunities through a variety of in-person and online communication vehicles (e.g. ASAE Events, Member-led Meet-ups, Collaborate, Webinars, Articles, etc.).  Assist the Gold Circle Awards competition by promoting and serving as award judges. This group will meet quarterly beginning with a meeting scheduled as the virtual Kickoff meeting in August aligned closely with the ASAE Annual Meeting, as well as an addition mid-year meeting. Subsequent meetings will be up to to the discretion of the leadership and council at large. We will host a virtual orientation for the council before the Kickoff meeting. Participation in this meeting is mandatory for new and returning council members.
