Description:

The Young Professional Committee (YPC) guides and recommends activities for ASAE’s young association professionals that build community and learning opportunities that are relevant to young association professionals today. It helps create a foundation for ASAE’s young professionals by working together with ASAE volunteer leaders and staff.  

Meeting Requirements
This group requires two face to face meetings each year and new members are required to attend an orientation call prior to the start of the term. 

  1. New members are required to join a 60-minute orientation call in July 2018
  2. Kick-off Meeting- Saturday, August 18, 2018, in conjunction with ASAE Annual Meeting in Chicago Illinois. This meeting is mandatory for new volunteers.  
  3. The second meeting is held in Spring 2019 in Washington, DC  
  4. Conference calls are regularly scheduled throughout the term

*Projects for the 2018-2019 year:

  • Advises ASAE on the needs of our Young Professional members.

*Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must meet the ASAE young professional designation of 35 years old or younger at the time of the Kick-off meeting on August 18, 2018.

  *When filling out the application, applicants are encouraged to speak directly to how they meet the eligibility requirements and how they can contribute to the 2018-2019 projects of the group

Disclaimer:

  • New volunteers are required to attend the volunteer group’s kickoff meeting in order to serve. There is no virtual option for this meeting.
  • Council members (or their organizations) pay their own travel expenses to attend meetings.   ASAE does not reimburse Board, Committee, or Council members for travel.
  • Members can only serve 1 (one) volunteer group (council or committee) at a time.
