Technology Professional Advisory Council guides and recommends content for technology section members through contributions to an e-newsletter, maintaining/monitoring an active tech discussion group, advising staff on programs such as the annual ASAE Technology Conference and Preconference. Also, the Technology Professional Advisory Council members assist in creating a sense of community among association information technology professionals. This group has one mandatory face to face meeting, the kickoff meeting, which is held on the morning of Thursday, December 5 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, Washington, DC. It’s the same location as the Technology Conference & Expo Conference, on December 3-4, 2019.
Projects for 2020 include:
- Create a framework for association technology education
- Create a framework for technology acquisition and implementation
- Promote the value of sound business solutions
- Join monthly council teleconferences
- Create content for association technology newsletters
- Structure technology acquisition and implementation
- Promote the value of sound business solutions
- Vet technology solutions
- Promote technology education
Council Requirements
- Attend the mandatory kickoff meeting on December 5.
- Please expect to commit approximately 3-5 hours per month to this council.
- Members meet via conference call on the third Thursday of each month for 60 minutes. You may be asked to participate in work group discussions at a different time.
- Actively participate in discussions in Collaborate, ASAE members only network
