With COVID-19 disrupting the way any association functions today, "business as usual" is no longer viable. But this disruption also brings the opportunity to do things differently.
Advocacy professionals have long relied on champions to share their stories and help advance our associations’ mission. And when we find someone who can play this role effectively, we fall in love with them. But perhaps we are so attracted to our champions because these people look/think/act a lot like us...
But what are we missing along the way? Would we benefit from a different narrative? From a different background? How can we find these voices and engage them in our strategy? What do we gain when we are able to bring these people to the table and make a real connection with them? Who else in your association can be part of your advocacy strategy? What functions across the enterprise should collaborate to develop an effective advocacy strategy?
Please join the ASAE Government Relations and Advocacy Professionals Advisory Council on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, from 12:00-1:00 PM EDT as three association executives share their thoughts on incorporating diversity and inclusion into advocacy efforts, bringing in different areas of expertise and leveraging on their synergies for a holistic approach and impactful results.Live attendees will earn 1 CAE credit.
