Columbia Idea Swap - Podcasting Demystified

When:  Jun 28, 2016 from 12:00 to 13:30 (ET)

Podcasting is catching on (again), and more marketers are deciding it's time to see if it's a fit. If you need to explain a product or membership benefit in greater detail or if you want to share in-depth thinking from your association (and its members), podcasts are an easy way to share a complex message while providing content to share on social.

Our content facilitator, Jeff Davis, not only understands that podcasting is a must-have tool in the 2016 marketer's toolbox, he uses this tool regularly. Jeff, with his co-host and co-founder of Podcast Village,, Charlie Birney will join us for a conversation June 28 to share what they learned and answer lots of our questions.

About Jeffrey A. Davis, APR, (@contactjeff) Jeff has more than 25 years of news media and national public relations experience. Founder of J. Davis Public Relations, LLC, he has extensive expertise in corporate positioning and reputation management, particularly in media relations, media training, crisis communications and social media. He also serves as Baltimore editor for the Washington, D.C. based Capitol Communicator and is co-host of two new podcasts - Launch Podcast, focusing on start-ups and the stories behind them, and Practically Social, a podcast about practical and "in the trenches" ways to use social media today. Davis is a recognized expert in social media, particularly how organizations can successfully integrate social media with traditional communications programs. He is also a 2016 PRSA Silver Anvil award winner.

Our June host is Maryland Psychological Association at 10025 Gov. Warfield Parkway, Ste. 102 in Columbia (big thanks to Stefanie Reeves, MA, CAE). Parking is free and building access is pretty open. (They are the first door on the right when you enter.)
