How Association Boards Can Encourage Entrepreneurial Thinking & Innovation: ACE Conversation

When:  Dec 11, 2018 from 03:00 PM to 05:00 PM (ET)

If associations want to encourage entrepreneurial thinking and innovation, their boards will need to play an important role. But it's not the role you might think. Instead of direct involvement in this important work, association boards must take a step back and create a context in which other contributors both inside and outside their organizations can collaborate to create distinctive value for stakeholders. This session will explore how boards can make entrepreneurial thinking and innovation more possible by focusing their attention on the future.

SPEAKER
Jeff De Cagna FRSA FASAE
is executive advisor for Foresight First LLC in Reston, Virginia and a respected contrarian thinker on the future of associating and associations. Jeff advises and serves on association and non-profit boards, and he has pursued executive development in both the work of governing (BoardSource and Harvard Business School) and the work of foresight (Institute for the Future and Oxford University). He is the author of the new eBook, Foresight is The Future of Governing: Building Thrivable Boards, Stakeholders and Systems for the 21st Century, produced in collaboration with AssociationAdviser.com, a Naylor publication.
