'Using Lean Innovation to Identify New Revenue Streams and Increase Member Engagement'
'Business as usual' is over!
The traditional business model has served us well in the past. But, just in the last few years, everything has changed. The convergence of several key technology innovations has thrown the rate of change into warp speed. Even more recent technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning will make the current dizzying pace seem like we’re standing still.
Yet, in the midst of all this, many associations are wondering why the products and services they’ve been offering for the last 20+ years are failing to maintain, let alone increase, their revenue. Many return to their time-tested remedies - increasing investments in sales and marketing or revisding their strategic plan; only to find the results disappointing.
You can’t solve today’s problems with yesterday’s methods. It’s time for new thinking.
Attend this event and learn how to:
Increase customer engagement and identify new revenue streams.
Identify insights into the “jobs” your members and prospects are trying to do.
Learn to identify the obstacles faced in trying to do those jobs, how to prototype, test and deliver new solutions or messaging that you don’t spend a dime on until they're proven to be effective.
About David Schulman and Lean Innovation:
Lean Innovation is the practice of increasing customer engagement, developing new products, services and sometimes, even whole new markets using 'validated learning' - getting customer feedback quickly and often. While the traditional business model focused on finding customers (marketing and selling), Lean Innovation focuses on finding new solutions that your members are willing to pay you for.
David Schulman has been in the association technology business for over 30 years. He has conceived, launched, built and sold two technology companies. In the last five years as an association technology consultant, he has been teaching associations how to use their AMS, their Community Management Portals and their websites to continually increase member engagement. In the process, he found that when you apply Design Thinking, Lean Startup and Agile methodologies to Innovation, you create powerful tools to make you indispensable to your members. It’s not rocket science, it’s validated learning, it’s common sense.
