Telehealth in Times of COVID-19 and Beyond

When:  Oct 7, 2020 from 12:00 PM to 01:00 PM (ET)

It has been more than six months since our lives were abruptly disrupted and zoom meetings, virtual appointments and telehealth went from being on the fringes to become the norm today.

In times of shelter-in-place and stay-home orders, health providers found out that leveraging telehealth was the best way to protect patients and staff from the novel coronavirus. While many organizations have pivoted to telehealth seamlessly, others had a steeper learning curve. Most of them encountered a wide array of challenges ranging from resistance from professionals to issues with waivers and payment reimbursement. As a result, lots of questions remain unanswered about what works and what doesn’t in our new digital-first world, which changes were implemented as an immediate crisis response, which innovations are here to stay and how they may change healthcare delivery forever.

To help us better understand the current landscape and explore how healthcare might be delivered in the future, three healthcare association executives will share their perspectives and the lessons learned as they worked to ensure their members were able to care for their patients while navigating the challenges and opportunities brought by the global pandemic.

Please join the ASAE Government Relations and Advocacy Professionals Advisory Council on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, at 12:00 PM EDT to hear from our panel of experienced executives who will share their insights into how their members have been delivering care during COVID-19 and beyond.
