    I wanted to share a recent blog post/LI newsletter I posted about why strategic planning often fails. Strategic planning often fails to assess the current state of operations. Often, Strategic Planning ends and begins with wishful thinking and desires rather than being data-driven and addressing operational weaknesses to innovate, change, and grow. Strategic planning is necessary to chart a bigger vision - 100%! But it needs to begin with an operations analysis.
