  • 1.  Association lawyer?

    There's got to be a thread on this somewhere, but I haven't found it.  We're looking for a lawyer who has experience with associations to serve some of our associations. In particular, one has an issue related to conference/hotel contracts, so bonus if you know someone with experience there.

    Do you know someone you'd recommend?

    You can't go wrong with contacting Jeff Tenenbaum of Tenenbaum Law Group, PLLC. He is highly active within ASAE and the association space, and @Jeffrey Tenenbaum, Esq knows nonprofits, foundations, and not-for-profits well.

    Hi Patrick. I have used Jeff Tenenbaum for a number of years, including negotiating issues with hotels during Covid. He and his team have been a huge asset to our associations. I believe he started out as staff attorney for ASAE and now has his own practice. jtenenbaum@tenenbaumlegal.com

    I highly recommend Cory Halliburton (challiburton@freemanlaw.com). Cory has deep experience supporting associations and has been PPAI's general counsel for several years. I have worked with him both as both a board member and CEO.
